• Only one week of training left and then classroom implementation is to start. All are very excited and are looking forward to the start of including children with disabilities into the classrooms of the Afrika Tikkun Wings Of Life Early Childhood Development centre.

  • Day 5 of the Classroom Facilitator training was a wonderful day of implementing knowledge in a practical way brainstorming ideas together as a team. The session was extremely beneficial, and the ladies thoroughly enjoyed putting their knowledge, thoughts and ideas into practice.

  • Day 4 of the classroom facilitator training at Afrika Tikkun, Wings of Life, Diepsloot centre. The importance of inclusion cannot be overemphasized and ensuring that support structures are put into place to allow for inclusion within ECD centers is paramount.

  • Continuation of the training for the mothers with disabilities on how to be a classroom facilitatior and using the knowledge gained to work as a facilitator in an inclusive Afrika Tikkun ECD classroom where children with disabilites learn and grow and develop alongside their peers.

  • Weekly interventions at Avril Elizabeth Home ensuring that the residents are maintaining a good position with the correct and appropriate alignment based on each residents very specific needs and physical presentation.   • Weekly seating interventions at Little Eden Society in Edenvale. Working alongside the resident physiotherapist to ensure that the seating and positioning of all residents is done correctly and appropriately. Presently each resident is being assessed within their device and the necessary adaptations and customisations done.
